When planning a shower, the type of baby shower invitations that you choose will serve to set the mood of the entire event. The invitation will give them their very first impression of just what theme the baby shower might be like. Try to make sure that the baby shower invites that you send out reflect the type of shower that you will be hosting, whether just for girls or co-ed, for example. You’ll surely want to make the best impression.

There are many possibilities when purchasing and sending invitations. When planning a more formal baby shower, then you might want to order some custom printed cards by some of the online retail stores. If you don’t quite know the date of the event, you still don’t have to opt for inexpensive invitations bought at a discount store. Most internet companies that print will offer really nicely done, fill in baby cards that you will be able to write in your information as soon as you know. These types of invitations are great for showers that take place after the baby is born, such as a sip and see. This is a special gathering for all to see the new baby, sip tea or coffee and ooh and ahh over the new bundle of joy.

Baby shower invites are available in such a large array of wonderful and colorful themes. They come in styles ranging from baby carriages, mommy’s tummy, Winnie the Pooh, jungle themed invites, ducks, frogs, die cut styles and then some. One of the favorite themes is a baby’s footprint, and you can readily find those online. After all, there is nothing quite as sweet as baby’s feet. As you shop online, be sure to pay attention to the shower invitation sample cards to see the different verse or wording choices that are available. Most companies will have a nice selection of verses to choose from, but you can also make up your own, and sometimes that can be the most fun, depending on your baby shower theme.

If you are planning a frog baby shower, then you might say something like, hop on over to a baby shower with us to honor (new mommy’s name). You will also need to have on hand the date, time, place, who the baby shower host’s are and their phone numbers or contact information. Adding an RSVP line to the invitation can be helpful, but you can also just put “regrets only to”, and this way, only those that will not be attending the shower will call.

Just remember to have fun picking them out, and make sure to order them plenty of time ahead, so you have time to send them out and have your party guests respond to you. No one likes to be rushed, so do take that into consideration.
